Book 3 - The shed

The third reading book ‘The shed’ introduces a further 20 words.  The shed uses the first 40 previously learned words, along with the 20 new words from

this book to construct the story.

Having spent the night in the bush in a cave in a thunder storm, Spike realises that he must find somewhere more permanent to live.

He finds binoculars in the bag and climbs to the top of the hill where he sees a run down shed.  He thinks he can do this up and live in it.

The story shows how he achieves this.  If you look closely in some of the pictures you will see that Stumpy is lurking in the background, watching Spike’s

every  move.
